Hearing one of my first favourite bands,
KISS, I had to learn to play guitar.
I delved into my first lesson at the age of 10.
By mid teens, many hard rock/metal bands were influencing me;
I formed & joined high school garage-type bands.
Exiting my teens, I was playing most of the rock clubs around town (an eye opener),
had my first recording studio experiences, and shortly after joined a band called Nitevigil
(renamed Class Action). With this band I got to experience filming a rock video
“Little By Little”. What a blast!
Later, I joined Highway Freak Ticket;
recorded two albums together and did a gazillion club shows around town.
Lots of radio play for “All I Have” and the video played Much Music’s
Indie Spotlight a few times, as well as a local TV show called Daytime (now Urban Rush).
Also, if you’re ever watching re-runs of TV series Highlander, you may hear it
being played during a scene! Pretty cool! Eventually H.F.T. disbanded amicably,
but we sure did have a lot of fun!
